I would do anything to cure my morning sickness! Would you?
The video above is about morning sickness and its complication - hyperemesis gravidarum. There are useful suggested remedies from reliable resources.
Ginger candy and vomit bag are in my nausea emergency kit. I brought them with me everywhere for first and third semesters of pregnancy.
Morning sickness was the very first symptom of my pregnancy. Me and my husband were in the London for a New Year vacation. The whole journey - in the plane, in the train, in the car; I felt nauseous, I felt horrible. One morning, my husband suggested me to take a pregnancy test, and it turned out to be positive!
It lasted for my first and third trimesters of pregnancy. It happened anytime in the day. I disliked travelling as pregnancy had made me had severe car sickness. I must eat ginger candy and keep a vomit bag with me everywhere I go.
There was a period of time I could not keep fluid or food down. We were worried and went to see our general practitioner. I was prescribed prochlorperazine tablets, took whenever I am nauseous not more than three times a day.
Some tips of mine
1. Avoid travelling
I knew my trigger for morning sickness is travelling. I had tried to avoid trips far from home, and reduce my groceries trips by buying bulk for the week.
2. Bring nausea emergency kit
Ginger candy and a vomit bag are my necessities during pregnancy.
3. Wear comfy clothes
Comfort is priority during pregnancy.
4. Avoid smell or taste which will trigger morning sickness
I could not handle beef and lamb during pregnancy. I stay away from them at all cost during pregnancy.
5. Carry favourite fragrance to mask smell triggers
I like frankincense smell during pregnancy. I carried a small bottle with me everywhere I go. It is a life saver when I smelt something which make me nauseous.
